First, they dug up all the roads they could lay their money - TopicsExpress

First, they dug up all the roads they could lay their money grabbing hands on in the name of repairs just months before the elections so that they could fudge their books and procure campaign money. The whole city from a helicopter must resemble a bombed area in a war torn land - that is the extent to which they have left no stone unturned. Now, we have roads and footpaths that barely stand witness to any change from before, but the rubble of unearthed stones and cement has been heaped on both sides generously. My fear is that early rains will wash the cement into the drains and clog them giving us floods of an unprecedented magnitude this year. That the media spends two sections of their newspapers telling us that Deepika Padukone is going to be in mastani and not shuddi rather than highlight daily if necessary - a danger that they themselves are going to be victims of - seems astonishing to me! If this is not collective idiocy, what is? After the event of the floods there is more news to be made. We do not believe in being pro active because we have become so used ti being reactionary that we enjoy it, even at our own cost!
