First things First, Thank You all for appreciating the photos I have shared thus far. I am truly fortunate to know and visit these places. I take nothing for granted and am able to gain a higher appreciation of the lifeways of my Hopi ancestors. I dont know why I chose this FB page to post on, but I did (a bit hesitant at first), and so this is where I will continue to reside. I know there are other FB rock art pages, but I dont have the time or patience to post to every page! This photo shows one of the locations where the past F8 photos are located (nothing specific about it right?). Some of you may know this place. It is located in the backcountry of Wupatki National Monument (NPS) near Flagstaff, Arizona. The public is allowed here only through ranger guided hikes (8 miles one way), usually held on a bi-annual basis, through a lottery draw (and yes, there is usually a waiting list). I worked here for 8 great years :) I will keep you updated as to when these hikes are taking place and the process of the lottery draw. Im working on other photos and will post more along the way. Thank You again for appreciating and respecting the work of some of my ancestors ;-)
