First we need to respect the bears, and their territories. We cannot continue to rape and pillage the land, cutting down forests for the advancement of man and the mighty dollar, and then expect the bears to stay on smaller and smaller territories and find sustainable food. Of course bears are going to seek food in towns, farms and elsewhere if there is no food in the wilds. Next, we need to get input from our First Nations. The First People respect the land, respect the wildlife and hunt only for food. When this committee is formed, it must not allow Bear Trophy Hunting - only hunt for what you eat. The Ministry of Natural Resources needs more funding in order to bring back proper wildlife management, including the relocation of problem bears.
