First we need to understand from the innermost core of our mind that Shri Krishna is the only one who is ours. KRISHNA says in the Bhagwat Gita: “The individual soul is an eternal fraction of Myself.” Because we are the soul, the material world cannot be ours, nor can we be of the world. Moreover, the material world cannot satisfy the hunger of our soul, which is divine by nature. Realise that KRISHNA alone can fulfil our selfish motive, then we will accept Shri Krishna to be our only shelter and Beloved of the soul. Longing for krishna will follow automatically.
