Firstbus won their appeal, overturning the original judgement. All three judges decided that it is sufficient to request, not require, buggy users to vacate the wheelchair space when needed for a wheelchair user. All is not lost, however. The judgement makes it clear that everything short of such action must be taken by bus companies: awareness campaigns, persuasion techniques, refusing to move the bus for a while etc. etc. Also, there were errors of law and fact in the judgement. As such, we have applied for permission to appeal to the Supreme Court.
