Firstly, I will admit that I had the cruise control set at 120kph in a 110kph zone. This was due to a family emergency which included emergency hospital treatment. However, it was my decision to travel at this speed, so Im not interested in people telling me that I was speeding. I already know this as I made the conscious decision to do so. The issue in this video is the person driving a black Peugeot 208. He just didnt understand the Keep left unless overtaking rules. These types of arrogant drivers cause more frustration for highway drivers than almost anything else. If you keep an eye on the speed you will see that this wasnt just a case of someone innocently making a mistake but someone purposely trying to cause an incident. You will notice that his speed drops to under the speed limit. After a single flash of the lights his speed drops and you can see him give an arrogant wave as if to say bugger the keep left rules. These type of people need to be targeted more by police as they cause more frustration on the road then someone driving at 5 - 10 kph over the speed limit. When he finally does go into the left lane, you will see my vehicle accelerate to 128 kph. This was the active cruise control getting the car back up to speed. The speed drops back to 120 pretty quick after this. This driver just displayed a total disrespect for highway motoring and its because of arrogant fools like this is one argument the Government uses to keep the ridiculously low speed limits that we have.
