Looking at the team picked (below), I personally feel we are in for 90 minutes of heart attack football. (90 min, coz that is all France will need to end our misery ! ). JLO has come in for a lot of flak from the likes of Effenberg, Kahn, Ballack, kaiser etc., for his poor team selections & playing players out of position. To the extent, that even Neur gave his opinion of preferring Lahm at RB position during the last press conference. But JLO it seems will stay true to himself & continue tormenting us by playing Lahm as a holding MF, to prove his point. I again reinstate, that IF Germany has any ambitions of winning against France, they need to get the team selection right. Lahm at RB, Shweini-Khedira holding MF, front four of Muller-Oezil-Schurlle & Klose. Worst case scenario is Muller continues playing a false 9 & Kroos in for Klose. If Lahm continues playing holding MF, we can kiss goodbye to this world cup. Also with Oezil, playing behind Klose there are bright chances of him being hacked by messrs. Matuidi, Cabaye & Pogba, winning us free kicks in prime postions. And the only bit of creativity shown by our genius JLO is the PT drill of 1,2 & 3 players running over the football, before the final ball being dispatched over the goal or into the wall !!! I sincerely hope more work is put into the set pieces, which probably would be our best chance of scoring. let s collectively keep our fingers crossed & hope by default JLO gets his team selections / tactics right.
