Fishing Report 11-19-2013 Water Temp: 58-62 Crappie: Fishing has improved with a more seasonal weather pattern. Look for them to be suspending just above brush piles and along pole timber close to a channel in 20 to 45 feet of water. Black/Chartreuse, yellow/white, electric chicken and chartreuse/pearl tubes or curly tail grubs on a 1/16 oz jighead have been producing well. Always fish the baits from the bottom up slowly. Minnows under a slip cork down 15 to 25 feet has been another option. Horseshoe Bend, Monte-NE, Piney Creek and Avoca Hollow have all been good places to fish. Report provided by JTs Crappie Guide Service. Striper: Fishing has been best in the mid lake area using shiners and shad in the 20 ft depth range. It has been a little slow the last week due to weather. Better fishing is sure to be around the corner! Bass: The fishing has been fair over most of the lake. It has been reported that the bass have been biting best from Prairie Creek to Hickory Creek. Spinnerbaits and crankbaits get the nod for the best baits to be using right now. 8-10 foot depth seems to be most productive. Typical fall/winter patterns are starting to take place with fish moving back into the creek arms. Trout: Trout fishing below the dam has been AWESOME in the last week. Had reports of Great fishing in the Parker Bend area. The AGFC has just released its first stocking of trout in Lake Atlanta last week. Fishing has been GREAT down there! Remember fall and winter can be some of the very Best fishing in our area! Get out and enjoy the great fishing during this time of year!!! Good Luck!!!!
