Fit Tip of The Day: As we age the cells decrease and spread out - TopicsExpress

Fit Tip of The Day: As we age the cells decrease and spread out more, meaning they lose their tight packed state. If a person has been over eating for their entire life then the digestive organs will get stretched out and will not be able to return to a normal size as they once were when the cells were more tightly configured. This also happens to skin cells as well. Once the elasticity and the cell count drops the cells that are left tend to spread out to compensate for the loss in cells. This will cause the tissue to stretch and lose its tightness. The key is to keep the cell count as high as possible during the aging process. The best way to keep the cell count high is good ole fashioned weight training and to eat small nutrient dense meals 5-6 times per day to keep the intestines contracting.
