Fitness centers across America (and Ive been to several on this road trip): You need to have weight scales in locker rooms. Not in open areas, not in the most public of spaces, especially at universities where a pudgy professor like myself can get on without the curious eyes of students. Im not embarrassed or anything. Sometimes, dude needs alone time with his fat. He needs that moment to either curse the world and rage things into a wreck, or do a happy dance. Just saying.
