Fitzroy Pink Walk - there was an amazing turn out of over 70 people and 14 dogs. I will post the totals raised once I have received all the sponsorship forms back - I am sure it will a considerable amount! This is the first time such an event has been organised from here, and my first attempt at organising such a walk, therefore please accept my apologies for the chaotic start!! That aside I think everyone enjoyed themselves, and I will be better organised next time. Many, many thanks to everyone who took part, from Stanley, from MPA and from Fitzroy Ridge, all these people had to drive a considerable distance to join in. It was great to see so many people making the effort, and so much PINK!! A huge thank you to my mum Marjorie Hayward for her contribution - loads of yummy food, and she also walked the whole route. Thanks also to Darlene Buckland, Sue Wilks, the Malvina House Hotel and Neville Hayward at Seafish Chandlery for food and drinks, to Rachel Berntsen and her mum Annie who registered everyone, Christian Berntsen for running the minibus and not forgetting the back up drivers who followed us along the road. Miranda Gaye Robson for setting up the village hall and making sure it was warm and welcoming. Thank you Katie and Steve Burston for photographs. If I have forgotten anyone - please do not be offended, I was a bit overwhelmed at the response! If you did not receive a medal following the walk, please contact me and I will see that you receive one.
