Five Minutes In Heaven With me your fellow worshiper Randal K. Maxwell THE KIND OF MUSIC WE SING IN HEAVEN God must have appreciated to some degree mechanical instruments of music in this physical realm, since He allowed David to utilized some. However since nobody has ever seen God (John 1:18), then no man, or “son of God” (who are often mistaken as “angels” alone w/o body, and soul) has ever played a mechanical instrument of music before God in worship, on the days when their spirits worshiped God in heaven. Job 1:6:2:1 Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. However, when Christ came into the world, the time began for men to be able to sing before God with their angels before God (apparently David only could worship God in body, soul and spirit on this earth). Note: as there were three ages of the church (preparation, New Testament Christianity, and whosoever will Christianity) this worship began even before Acts 2 and the establishment of the church: John 4:21,24! The fact that Jesus never played an instrument, like His TYPE David did, illustrates that singing to God in spirit and in truth means that our singing is to God the Father in heaven, and though a physical body might be able to pick one up on this earth, he cannot transport it to heaven! Our greatest example worshiped by singing. Mat 26:30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. When Jesus worshiped in song, He plucked the instrument of His heart before God. Eph_5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Rev_14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: The New Testament began, with the writing of the books of the Gospel, not after, some Old Testament Jews were given Christian principles. Now though, all men -“whosoever will” (Acts 2:20,21, Rev. 22:17) can all be members of His Kingdom and our angels worship before the father in heaven (Matt. 18:10.), and at least for now, it is impossible for us to play pianos into heaven. We sing with the voices of our angels in heaven, we do not need, we do not need man’s mechanical instruments of music (cf. I Cor. 13:1).
