Five NSW RFS members will fly to South Australia this morning to conduct the second phase of Bush Fire Impact Analysis. The team will asses the homes and structures destroyed by the recent fires, record what the building was made from, proximity to vegetation, the direction the fire impacted the property and many other factors. This information then feeds into research to help shape future policy on building in bush fire prone areas. The attached video provides an insight into the work done by these teams.
