Five Wondrous Facts about John:- 1) The Gospel of John stands apart from the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke—gospels that present a similar view and stories). It was written later, between 90-100 AD, and has a very distinct style compared to the other Gospels. The author of John is a master storyteller who weaves imagery, metaphors, and theological language into a brilliant and beloved depiction of the life and character of Jesus Christ. 2) The mention of “life” appears in John’s Gospel more than any other book in the entire New Testament. However, instead of just telling stories about Jesus, much like the other Gospels, John’s Gospel dives into spiritual meanings behind the stories. The purpose of his Gospel is recorded in John 20:30-31: “Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”
