Five deaths in the last month. Today has brought yet another sad story my way of another life cut short. I have been saddened by the loss of 5 people in just the last month. Old as well as young, and all of them good, hard working people. With good families. Sadness thats hard to comprehend, let alone explain to my boys, who barely understand these concepts. Ive read too many messages saying things like too soon, before their time, etc. But the reality is all the same. Every day, mundane as many of them seem, is our time. I renew my drive to make each day count and do what I can to live the best life I can, for me and those around me. And to stop making excuses for the things I just convince myself Im too busy for. So, as much as I would love to go to my high school reunion this weekend, I am choosing quality over quantity of valuable relationships. I am heading to Florida to spend time with my first-ever friend. The meetings, conference calls and other seemingly important stuff will just have to wait. Think about what really matters in life and make these your priorities!
