Five pitchers joined forces to throw a no-hitter for the Bonham Warriors in a 20-0 victory in five innings over the Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles. Kendall Kennedy, Dra Smith, Cole Sparks, Jordan Quintana, and Greg Moses tallied 11 strikeouts and only walked one in completing the no-no. Kennedy started things off and was in control on the bump as he held Wilmer-Hutchins hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three. Bonham got its bats going early, scoring 16 runs in the first inning to pull ahead of Wilmer Hutchins, and nineteen runs in the first three innings helped the Warriors blow out the Eagles. A few passed balls, a sacrifice fly by Kendall Kennedy, a two-run double by Clay Clemons, an RBI double by Dra Smith, a couple passed balls, an RBI single by Tristan Hunt, a two-run single by Cole Sparks, a two-run double by Kennedy, a walk by Smith, a walk by Austin Simmerman, an RBI single by Austin Leatherwood, and an RBI single by Jordan Quintana during the first inning supplied the early offense for Bonham. Warriors increased its lead with three runs in the third. Will Arnotts single got things going, scoring Simmerman. That was followed up by a Josh Easley single, plating Leatherwood. The Warriors have advanced to the area round of the state playoffs that will be held next week against the winner of the Sanger-Aubrey match-up. Game times and sites are still TBD.
