Five years after the original recording was done, #OCCUPY_ ASUU has finally been released. This song was composed originally in 2008 during the first ASUU strike but failed to be released because of some technical difficulties, although a studio leaked version made it to the hears of a few who were opportune to have listened. Composed by EJINO and vocalized by SKIBOB this version is slightly different from the original which was mainly acoustic with SKI playing the guitar. On this song the duo manage to tell a story of the depreciating standards of Nigerian institutions as they themselves have gone through these very institutions. Both graduates from the UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR, from the departments of GENETICS and BIOTECHNOLOGY, ECONOMICS respectively, the duo tell a musical tale of STUDENT versus ASUU versus the GOVERNMENT. Personally, this is the best piece of music I have listened to from any Nigerian act this year, very original and with a good plot. It would amaze you to know that the song was sequenced recorded and released in under four hours at their home studio yesterday 5th August 2013 between 1pm and 5pm and this according to them is just for fun and not a professional track.
