Five years ago I was at Vanderbilt having brain surgery! It was 14 hours long and very dangerous. The tumor was on my brain stem and nearly impossible to pick apart because of its odd shape with tails, intertwined within the nerves keeping me alive. Dr. Reid Thompson and Dr. David Haynes were the amazing doctors that performed the surgery. And of course there were so many others involved that I am forever thankful. We werent sure how I would do, what the outcome would be. I was told it may be 1 1/2 years before I was able to teach my classes again. I had to relearn to walk, talk, and so much more. and get this...I was at the gym in 6 weeks!!! My balance was still way off, I was wobbly, and could only do some free weights, but I SHOWED UP! At 8 weeks I was teaching spinning, at 12 weeks I was at a Zumbathon and led my routine to Shackles. The Zumbathon was for a child with a brain injury. I looked like I had a brain injury after the surgery- just horrible- the right side of my face was just hanging, having no use of my facial nerve and all the muscle tone was gone. My right eye was popped open like a robot. But I SHOWED UP and gave all praise to Jesus, my Healer. Im celebrating what God has done today by giving away my OVERCOMER tee! I will announce the winner tonight! Like my page, share, tag your friends, hashtag #Overcomer - https://facebook/TheFitnessAngelFaulk
