Five years ago I was driving in a beautiful neighborhood and had a prompting to pull over to get a marketing flier for an extraordinary house that was for sale. It was definitely out of my price range but nevertheless I followed the feeling to call about the home and ask details. I was embarrassed and even a bit angry that God asked me to do this because I didnt want to waste anyones time. As the owner described the home it sounded amazing and included many features I had always dreamed of. and as I had expected, it was way out of my league. After the call was over I asked God what that was all about and the question came, Why are you limited by your bank account? I was so startled by this question that I sat in the car thinking about this question for awhile. I thought about my desires for a beautiful home, to be able to live without restraints and pressures of budgeting, and I started to realize that it was ok to want these things and to receive them too. It was ok to desire abundance. It was ok to want to buy things that were full price and not at a consignment shop or thrift store. It was ok to have more resources to travel with my family. I was worthy of the life I wanted and God was encouraging me to create it and let go of my limitations and issues around money that were holding me back in my businesses. This experience was very significant and prepared me to finally accept my friend Natalie Crosby Goddards invitation to join her in dōTERRA essential oils. I knew that if I was to create abundance on any level that I wanted it to be residual income, a business model that is so profound that allows you to be paid generous commissions. I had been already using the oils for 18 months and was a true believer of their power and influence in managing our health that I was already giving Natalie referrals so she invited me to benefit from the financial blessings the company could provide. I resisted for a long time because of ego. I was very judgmental about network marketing companies because I was an entrepreneur and had ideas that I could create my own money via my own genius and not relying on another way, but little by little I was guided to see yes, indeed, my own talents, creativity, and gifts would help me to be successful with this. It was my passion for entrepreneurship and coaching that would be the most beneficial and give me an edge. I just received my check for September and I cant even believe it. I pause this morning in gratitude and humility that in just 5 years I could buy that house I had called about if I desired. We live in Bali because of this financial freedom and we will continue to live around the world doing service and uplifting others because of the income that dōTERRA provides. I am so happy that I listened to Gods gentle nudge to create more and that we now have over 37,000 on our dōTERRA team, people who are loving natural health, people who share it with others, and many many who are creating additional income streams for themselves and transforming their lives. As I celebrate 5 years of choosing to create abundance with Gods help, I wonder who else wants to be LIBERATED financially.
