Five years ago this morning I received a call that no Police family member wants to receive, my husband was shot. Today, I am stronger. Today, I am healthier, mentally and emotionally. Today, I am not the same person I was 5 years ago. Today, I still miss Marc more than ever. Today, I still have an ache in my heart that has just become apart of me and who I am. Today, I will continue celebrating Marcs life as I am still able to grieve his death. Today, Marcs family, my family and our friends will be carried in my heart, as I share their pain. But, I also ask that in remembering Marc, we remember Michael Camacho, Frank Molina, Mark Lavelle and Dennis Mitchell, as well as their families and friends, that received the same phone call our family did. Thank you, Danny Dias, EMTs, and the Surgeons, Doctors and Nurses at the JCMC that allowed our family 5 more days with the man we called: husband, daddy, son, brother and friend. And thank you all, for standing besides us in our journey, giving us strength, support and prayers. May God Bless you all. Be safe & God Bless!
