Five years ago today I was in a crazy car accident with my (at the time future) wife Ariella, my sister-in-law Pnina C. Zeitlin and another good friend. The car spun out of control around a turn, rolled over a few times and finally coming to a skidding stop in the center of the highway. Thanks to merits that I am not able to understand, we all crawled out of the can unharmed. While on one hand I NEVER want to experience something like that again, I am thankful for the lessons learned. I cannot imagine a better way to internalize the blessing of a fresh start every year on Rosh Hashana in a more meaningful way. Life is so precious and everybody has their own unique gifts to bring into the world. Rosh Hashana is about turning to a fresh page in our lives and committing to be 100% yourself from this day forward so you can be a conduit for the cosmic blessings that only you can facilitate.
