Fix Your Eyes On Jesus... Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Heb 12:2 The only perfect model we have as children of God is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The new life God requires of all His children is the life of faith in His Son Jesus; for God said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” (Matthew 17:5 NKJV) > God does not require of us under the New Testament to hear the law and the prophets or any spiritual-religious-church leader but His Son. We are not under the old time cloud; God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds...that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (Heb 1:1-2. Jn 5:23 NKJV) • Today many are honouring their church leaders, fixing their eyes on them as their model for the kingdom of God. They call them their spiritual fathers or daddies, ignoring the warnings of Jesus saying to us, And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father. (Matthew 23:9 NLT) They take their every word as the word of God they must live by, ignoring the scripture saying, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, And may overcome when You are judged.” (Romans 3:4 NKJV) > No man is our perfect model in the faith. Men still have their flaws no matter how anointed they are. We are not anointed to be Christs over others in the faith, but for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:12-16 NKJV) • When you fix your eyes on the so called men and women of God, then they become false christs and false prophets, showing you great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect; they will say to you, Look, Jesus is in certain places, but The Lord warned us to neither go out where they claim He is, nor believe it. (Matt 24:24,26) > Do not be carried away by the great signs and wonders of the so called ministers, because signs and wonders are meant to follow every believer; And He(Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:15-18 NKJV) • Are you a true believer in Jesus Christ? If yes, then its your duty to keep fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:2) > Do not be deceived by clever words of ministers who claim of having a revelation thats contrary to the life and teachings of Jesus to His church; know that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace... (Heb 13:8-9 NKJV). • If that message, gathering, church, doctrine and activities in the name of Jesus is not Grace based, then run away. Dont join those that mix the old and New Testament together as that of serving God (Read Lk 5:36-39). Grace is sufficient and needed not the works of the law to be perfect (Read Eph 2:8-9). > You dont need to belong to any group to please God. You dont need to go to any place of worship to belong to the church of Christ; all you need is to be in the faith of the Son of God (Read Gal 2:20-21), and be led by the Holy Spirit (Rom 8:14-17). • Finally, I want to remind you that are in Christ Jesus that all the promises of God in Christ Jesus are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes me with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. Let no one have dominion over your faith, for we are fellow workers with God to give joy to others; for by faith we stand, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (2Cor 1:20-22,24. Eph 2:8-10) + May you be grace-full and faith-full to the glory of God all the days of your life in Jesus Name! Amen! Examine Yourself Today! (Read 2Cor 13:5-6)
