Flag Raising Ceremony PLEASE JOIN US AS WE CELEBRATE THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR WITH OUR FLAG RAISING CEREMONY And Our Other Wonderful Traditions at Wolford June 5th at 8:00 a.m. sharp!!! At the end of each school year, we recognize and honor our hard working students. One aspect of this celebration is the tradition of having our fifth graders walk through our building, while younger grade levels cheer and honor our graduating class. What a lovely way to say good-bye, wish bon voyage, and celebrate as we send off our fifth graders with our best wishes as they move on to middle school. This celebration will begin at 9:15 a.m. on June 5th. Our Kindergarten through fourth grade students also receive appreciations from their teachers during the end of the school year. On June 5th, we are continuing another special tradition for the end of our school year. Many of you may remember that each year we have a wonderful start to our school day on the last day of school. With the help of our fabulous music teacher, Cheryl Conner, we will start our celebration with a special flag raising celebration. All parents are invited to attend as the entire student body and faculty gather around our flagpole as we celebrate yet another wonderful school year. As a community we will all come together for a special presentation, which will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. We hope our parents can join us as we spend a very special time together as a school community before the start of summer. Because we want to maintain a safe environment for all students as we gather around the flagpole, our front carpool lane will be blocked off. We ask that all parents who elect to drive their child to school that morning to please use our BACK CARPOOL LANE. Our front carpool lane will be closed to ensure the safety of all children starting at 8:00 a.m. Thank you in advance for your cooperation to ensure safety. We also ask that any parents who elect to drive their child to school on June 6th to please try to come earlier than usual because we want to have our traffic pattern flow easily in our back carpool lane area. Extra teachers will be on duty at the back of the school to help with traffic flow issues. We appreciate your flexibility as we safely bring our students to school and continue to maintain a safe zone without cars in our front carpool lane. Cars will still be able to pull into the front parking lot, but will be diverted away from our front carpool lane into the front parking lot. Lets hope for a beautiful morning with more walkers than drivers to school, if possible! We hope to see our parents on June 5th at 8:00 a.m. as we continue this Wolford tradition. Fran
