Flashing back to the finals matchup today. Pre-game emotions.. high-energy, big smiles, foggy eyes, jitters.. just pure excitement in the stands! These boys really showed true form of hustle and heart.. literally blood sweat and tears. The scoreboard showed most of it from BOTH teams.. tied at 2 after the first, and again with 5-all before the third. As I was walking around watching all the people.. noticing their Team swag and colours.. that feeling of unity was divine. Told a few of em that no matter what the outcome, both of these teams have already won Gold together and making this event that much more special to spectate. Coming into the finals, all of these young iroquois and a few mixed nations from New York and Ontario.. playing this indigenous sport for all of our people and more.. just simply amazing! New York claimed gold with an outstanding display of culture and unity after the medal/podium ceremony.. congratulations to all of their U16 boys and bench staff! WHAT A GAME! AND TEAM ONTARIO WITH THE SILVER BABY! 9-11 FINAL SCORE. THESE BOYS DISPLAYED INCREDIBLE ENDURANCE AND SKILL !!! SO PROUD PROUD YOU ALL
