Flew back from Italy last night. Im a little jet lagged. I went to Florence with Reba to do the first Mohammed Ali Celebrity Fight Night event outside of the U.S. (its for Parkinsons Disease). David Foster was the band leader....18 Grammys. Its hard to describe. Night one, we had dinner and cocktails at the Ferragamo Museum Palace. Night two, was hosted by Stefano Ricci in a 14th century theater. Mozart once performed there. I gotta nice tie as a gift. There was another event at Cavallis home but Reba got sick and we stayed around to keep an eye on her. Nothing serious. Night 3 was at Andrea and Veronica Bocellis home. Its a little over an hour outside of Florence. They have a home on the beach. We found a way to hook up our EU-BOOM speakers to the vehicle sound system and tortured the poor Italian driver all the way back. He was a great sport, as were all of the Italians. I sang three songs, Reba did a few, Bocelli did a short show including a duet with a tall, blonde, gorgeous soprano. She was there for sound check playing with his young daughter. I thought she was the nanny until she walked up on stage and killed all of us. John Legend happened to be in the area visiting with his new Italian bride to be and stepped up and did a couple. Lionel Ritchie closed it out. Otherwise, highly reserved Women in fancy gowns jumped the stage during All Night Long and danced with him. I held Janine back. Night 4 was a dinner and auction and full blown concert back in Florence with Andrea and a sixty piece orchestra. George Clooney was there. He and Bocelli are pals....they both like gorgeous Italian women (NOT HARD TO FIND). A dinner with Reba and yours truly was the highest bid of the night. They wouldve paid more for just dinner with Reba but she was gracious enough to let me tag along and drag the bid down. Ill send pictures once I decompress. Im sure Reba will have plenty to say and show you on her sites in the next few days. SOMETHINS COOKIN !!!! ......back to keepin it country ! RD
