Flight to Canada. Sat 6th Sept 2014. We were delayed at Nashville airport yesterday for a short time while they fixed a seat and table on the American Eagle plane we were flying on to Chicago. A seat had come off before we could leave for Chicago, when fixed we flew off. What a view we had of this Northern Metropolis, such a clear panarama as we flew in over the massive waters of the Great Michigan Lake, flying from east to west. We approached the runway at Chicago-land garnering views of the North and South of the city through the portholes of the plane. Our necks turning and tilting in quick succession, from left to right, as though we were on the court of a major Tennis match. We were rewarded with glimpses of the city, one would surely be forgiven, if they broke out in song singing, Frank Sinatras rendition of Chicago is, My kind of Town made popular in the film Robin and the seven hoods. We switched to our flight from Chicago to Calgary, on Canadas Westjet a truely delightful airline. WestJet Airlines Ltd. is a Canadian low-cost carrier founded in 1996, it is currently the second-largest Canadian air carrier, behind Air Canada. The rewards for being short in stature, kicked in, on this second flight, as Lynn and I both had 3 seats each to sleep on. Hurrah, Oh the rewards of being short we were able to curl up and enjoy the comfort of our new travel pillow’s humming Randy Newman’s 1978 song “Short people” They got little hands Little eyes They got little noses And tiny little teeth They wear platform shoes on their little feet They got little baby legs That stand so low You got to pick em up Just to say hello They got little cars That go beep, beep, beep They got little voices Goin peep, peep, peep Across the aisle a lady was stroking a beautiful white poodle dog, did not catch its name fully sounded like Lincoln-doo or stinky-poo, anyway it was extremely well behaved and traveled without one bark. We passengers were not left in the dark for long as to which of these titles belonged to this darling creature, it was not Lincoln-doo, periodly it would fluff a number of times and the odometer hit the highest level in that cabin amongst that captive audience, the owner was made to put the poodle back in its cage problem was it was a see through net cage. Yes we arrived safely into Calgary, Canada. Thx for your intercessions for us.
