Flock of 7 mallard ducks in the backyard resting and munching corn on the ground. Not sure if they are a batch that happened to migrate south and are returning to Maine now or they live around here. We did have a male and female who used to come around here last spring and then stopped coming....presumably because she laid her eggs...maybe this is mom and her family....but I do not know enough about them to say for sure. I think they may flock together.
