Flood Recovery Day 10 Running around like a crazy person today, trying to get on top of the ordeal. More wet clothes to the cleaners, shopping for baby gifts for Heathers shower on Sunday, to the Cogeco store for new modem, already bought a new router, made inquiries about water damaged furniture refinishing, and home. More laundry at home but Alex had done most of it. I tried to connect what I thought was a working cable box to the TV now moved to the living room - not working. Called Cogeco and got the nicest young man to help me but no luck, so I tried another box and couldnt find a cord it needs among the pile of them on the dining room table, which has become the repository for electronics and accessories. Left that problem to Ian, Ill just watch the TV in my office. While I was in the living room, I noticed that someone had put a wet item on the arm of a chair that is from the 1840s. A chair that has never had the finish touched and now theres a bleached spot!! I think Ill post a photo and see if anyone knows how to fix it. After cooking dinner (can you believe my family expects to eat??? and I have to cook???) I installed and hooked up the new modem, new router and here we are!! Whew! I had to use a kitchen outlet since the basement is out of bounds. I feel much better and glad to see the old D-Link go to router hell. ~ Kath
