Flood Warning from Fox5 news MOAPA, NV (FOX5) - The National Weather Service declared a flooding emergency for the Muddy River, located in northeast Clark County on Friday evening. Forecasters said that at 7:26 p.m., the river reached 11.6 feet. That section of the river only reached 9 feet on Sept. 8, when substantial flooding occurred in the area. The Weather Service said the flood crest will move through Moapa Friday evening and reach the Overton arm of Lake Mead by early Saturday morning. Severe flooding is likely along the entire reach of the Muddy River, through Moapa, Glendale, Logandale and Overton. Clark Countys Regional Flood Control District tweeted that this is a life-threatening event and that those in the area should seek higher ground and avoid the Muddy River.
