Flood watch North West Pastoral district - north of Coober Pedy and far northwest, inc Oodnadatta The forecast heavy rain may lead to significant widespread flooding. A tropical low near the northwest coast of Western Australia combined with an upper trough developing over the east of Western Australia is likely to extend a significant rain band into the northwest of South Australia. Heavy rain and thunderstorms during Thursday, Friday and Saturday may produce falls of 100-200 mm. The area most likely to be affected is the North West Pastoral district north of about Coober Pedy and the adjacent northwestern parts of the North East Pastoral district.
