Flooding - Northern Roads Updated Wednesday, 14 August 2013 - 10:39am Due to very heavy rainfall, numerous roads in north and north-western Tasmania are subject to flooding, and in some places are impassable. If travel is undertaken, motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution, and not to attempt to drive through flooded sections of road. Most affected roads have been sign-posted with warnings, and closed where required. Some affected roads include: West Tamar Highway, northbound; Youl Road; Winkleigh Road, Winkleigh; Nile Road. Conditions have eased since about 2am, but further heavy rainfall is anticipated. Upper Esk Road at Three Bridges 8 km north of Mathinna - closed Mathina Plains Road - berween griffin Road and Claytons Road. - closed Pitts Lane, Bracknel - closed. Tasman Highway between Corkerys Road and Camden Road at Targa Tasman Highway bwetween sidling on Scottsdale end and Nunamara Road at Launceston end Targa Hill Road is closed.
