Flooding along the Portage River Story posted 2013.10.06 at 07:20 PM EDT After a waterlogged weekend, the Portage River is flooding in parts of Wood, Sandusky and Ottawa Counties, where Flood Warnings are in effect. This Sunday evening, the river was about a foot above flood stage near Woodville, putting Trail Marker Park under water. The river continues to rise, but it should only climb a few more inches before cresting on Monday morning, just over a foot above flood stage.
