Florentino on Ancelotti: “He has gone from being a coach at club level to becoming one of the best in the world. He is demanding andhas a great track record. He has won the Champions League twice [as a coach]. This was the third time we tried to sign him and finally, we have managed to do it”. Florentino on Zidane: “He will be Ancelotti’s assistant; that is what the coach himself wanted”. Florentino on Gareth Bale: “He is afantastic player – one who belongs to a club we enjoy a greatfriendship with but we have not made an offer for him”. Florentino on Higuaín: “We don’t want him to leave. And besides, nobody from Arsenal has come here to present an offer for him. Not 27 million – nothing. We have not received an offer”. Florentino on Callejón’s departure:“There has been talk of him leaving to join Napoli and I am notgoing to deny that there isn’t a chance of that happening. I have also heard rumours about Di María and that is completely untrue, he’s staying with us”. Florentino on Illarramendi: “Our main concern right now is Xabi Alonso. Florentino on Mourinho: “He took us up a few notches in terms of quality. Six seasons ago, we weren’t even getting past the firstknockout stage of the Champions League but in the past three yearswe have made the semi-finals in consecutive seasons. The only thing he lacked was winning the 10th European cup with us”.
