Florida will soon vote on legalization of medicinal marijuana. There is a TON of misinformation out there regarding the plants properties and effects; primarily promoted by special interest groups capitalizing on peoples ignorance of the plant to placate their voter base. Polls show those in favor are right ON the % point need for approval (67% for). For a law of this nature, a two-thirds vote is required to pass. If you plan to vote, please dont let your predispositions or doubts get in the way of bringing compassionate relief to countless patients whom would experience significant benefits from *controlled* daily doses. Not everyone is out to get high. Marijuana is a legitimate, powerful pain killer, effective therapy to ward off anxiety and chronic depression, has shown benefits in the treatment of ADHD and attention-related disorders, and possesses compounds that can slow the progress of Alzheimers and fight or inhibit growth of certain types of cancer cells. Threshold doses can bring medicinal benefit without making you stoned stupid. Do your own research. Read the medical boards full of testimonials from chronically ill patients. Voting Yes to legal medical marijuana in the State of Florida will help ME personally gain access to a potentially major therapeutic agent for controlling chronic pain, anxiety, and alleviating attention difficulties; when my condition prevents me from taking most standard narcotic / chemical compounds.
