We had a quiet and serene celebration at home with the kids last Sunday, July 6, as Rene was on call/ duty in the hospital July 5 and again today, our actual anniversary date of July 7. I prepared tempura and beet arugula salad for lunch al fresco in our backyard. For dinner, we recreated our Parisian and Florentine experience, with escargot and foie gras for appetizer. We opened the special bottle of Napa Valley 1998 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon -- a gift from our dear friends Dado and Maria Banatao. For our main course, I cooked Renes favorite Osso Buco with creamy mascarpone polenta on the side. Tiramisu for dessert. Blissful blessed moments!
