Flurries and a few snow showers are moving in from the west, over Herkimer, Otsego, Delaware, Greene, Ulster, and Dutchess counties right now..all very very light which is how it will remain overnight...some coating to 1/2 accumulations in spots, especially in the Catskills, mid Hudson valley and Berkshires. A few flurries around in the morning, otherwise another typical Jan day on the way with clouds giving way to some sunny intervals, highs near 30, not much wind...more of that on Friday too. A large ocean storm will be passing south of us Sat. and Sat. night...still looks to me like a squeaker with the bulk of the moisture missing us...but some light snow appears possible from the Capital Region and S. VT on south. It remains something to watch, however, as storm track this far out is not certain by any stretch. So stay tuned.
