Foam on top of the wave How easy it is to be sucked into this world. Drama after drama, one worse than the other, call for our attention. We engage and disengage. One cause is worthier than another. Like the foam on top of a windswept ocean we get blown from the top of one wave to another. We analyze, discuss, debate, argue and sometimes fight and even kill over how we can still the waters so that we can live more peacefully on top of the ocean. And all the while, just under the surface of the angry ocean stillness reigns. Lately I have found that these dramas and causes do not engage me any longer. The whole scene leaves me with a feeling of emptiness and lack of content like the air in the foam on the top of the wave. It’s got no substance. And it leads nowhere but to more foam. What’s the use of any engagement in any cause if it is only anchored in the duality of right or wrong, good or bad etc.? In my truth this world will not be ‘saved’ until I fully realize that my true essence is to be found in the depths of this unlimited and eternal ocean, far beyond the foam on top of the waves. And I’m happy to report that, that’s exactly what’s happening for me right now. A fair guess; that’s why I’m continuing writing this blog! blog.mindfuldynamics.se/#home
