Focus for the Weekend: Wedding, more importantly....location/venue. As a couple we have been to so many beautiful places and so many places are true our years together. However, most important is for us to have our family and close friends with us on the day finally unite as one...after all this has been 13 years in the making. Bernie and I have decided to make our final decision on the “where” by the end of this month. He has asked me to pick my top 3 destinations and email them to him. Typical groom: right? Teach him...I am upping the ante...I am doing a PowerPoint presentation for him to see on the big screen of my whole wedding ideas...and hopefully in the process, we can narrow our choices to 3. I thought of doing an excel spreadsheet, but think this will make it fun...I say now. LOL. What is rolling around in my head now? 1. I want to stick with a scenic (prefer beach setting) wedding. a. South Florida – clear blue beaches – Ft Lauderdale – Miami – the Keys – and could even hold reception at the house, if Bernie ever gets his dream Pavilion built in the back yard. b. Las Vegas – Mandalay Bay has “beach” side pool and has many options. c. Lake Tahoe – beautiful from beach to mountains - choice of chapel or outside. d. Cruise ship to the Bahamas. What I need to convince Bernie of...ceremony is different than honeymoon and we can do both in different locations. Of course it depends on cost of all. See...I have my weekend and week full...LOL. Stay tuned. I may post the presentation once I get it together...just for fun.
