Fog this morning. STANLEY A fiery crash involving two semi-trucks and and three pickup-trucks occurred Friday morning along U.S. Highway 2 about three miles east of Stanley. The scene is still on fire and investigators are unable to provide specifics until the fire is out and they can move on the scene. The exact time of the crash is unknown, but North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Gary Orluck estimates the time of the incident to be about 6:40 a.m. Orluck says that the heavy fog in the area, greatly reducing visibility, was a major contributor to the crash. He also says authorities are assuming multiple victims. Traffic is flowing now that authorities have set up a detour around the scene, but it took about 45 minutes to set up the detour because they had to clear a significant backlog of traffic around the immediate area. Once the oil from the tanker has completely burned off there will be more information available.
