Foggy night on Clacton pier Arrived about 7-45pm to a misty damp clacton pier, 2 on the stem as I made my way up, but know one on the arm, as I made my way to the last shelter I was astonished on how much litter was left in the other 4 shelters, so after dumping my gear in the end shelter, I took a couple of Iceland carrier bags n my bucket and collected the rubbish and dumped it all in the bins provided ( lazy f*****s) anyway, decided on two rods tonight with big squid Baits on 6ft pulley dropper rigs. 3 other anglers turned 2 in 1st shelter n 1 in shelter beside me, wasnt long before 3 pins hung themselves, then big pull down which resulted in a fine 40cm codlibg, quickly followed by another 38cm. With tide building the mist quickly became thick dense fog, shortly after a classic slack liner which brought me another 40cm codling, tide was almost high now and with hardly any squid left, decided to fillet my fish, once filleted and put in bag. noticed one of the rods had sprung out. Realt like mad as you do and connected with a 42cm codling, after filleting that one, packed up with everything soaked from the fog, I went home happy, might be back Later this week for the big silly o clock tide. Heres a few pics of my foggy adventure .
