Fogo beautiful island is going through a very serious situation and our Island of Fogo needs all of us to stand strong. The pictures and videos on Facebook are heartbreaking. Right now people are forced to leave their entire lifebehind to protect their lives and those of their family. About 1000 people are being asked to leave behind everything theyve worked for, they are leaving behind the comfort of their homes to settle in the unknown. The frustration and the pain they are going through can only be imagined but cant be known unless we are physically going through it, likewise our frustration will not be understood by those in Fogo. The need and the eagerness to help and not be able to find the best way is frustrating and I understand that because I feel that frustration. At moments like this, we all want to come together as 1 nation and help those in need, and it is with pride that I say Ive seen groups forming, movement emerging, people talking, messaging, texting, phone calls among people that want to come together and do something (anything really). As beautiful and as UNITED that might sound and look (and Ive seen pictures of meeting happening all over NE) Im sad to say that we couldnt be further being UNITED. UNITY to me means ONE group ONE voice and ONE objective. Lets join forces by joining all the groups together as one, we have the power and the means to create something that can help after the initial hype is gone... The RIGHT NOW is very important but what is needed a weeks, months or even years from now is what will show our People in Cabo Verde that they are not forgotten and that we are all in this together and WE will help them rebuilt their lives. Na és momento sta cerka de 1000 abitantes ki sta pedido pes decha ses casa e ses vida contruido pa salvaguarda vida de sés e de sés familia, és sata dexa tudo e és sta bai pa um destino incerto. Frustraçao ki kés ki sta na Fogo sta xinte nes momento ninguen ki sta fora ka ta pode comprende, nu pode imagina e até intende más unico manera de sabi é pa nu sta na kél meio ta batalha. Nta intende també mé dificil pas és pes intende nós frustraçoa e nós vontade de djuda e nu ka tem o sabi kal ke midjor manera de djuda. Momento de keli nós tudo nu kre djuda e nu kre mostra ma nós é um naçoa unido Fora e Dento de Cabo Verde. É mesmo bonito e orgulhoso odja grupos ki sta forma, movementos ki sta criado, chamadas, mensagens de Caboverdeanos ki kre UNI pa faze de tudo pa djuda, más ao mesmo tempo é TRISTE odja ma kel UNIDADE ki nós tudo nu kré, kel unidade ki nu sta aparenta é ka UNIDADE. UNIDADE pa mi é 1 GRUPO, 1 VOZ e 1 OBJECTIVO. Djan odja fotos de grupos ki sta forma pa tudo kanto de NEW ENGLAND.
