Folklore Ensemble Rose Valley found Rose Festival in Karlovo Each year during the rose picking in Karlovo organize the Rose Festival, which draw huge crowds from home and abroad. Historical records inform that rose festival in Stryamska Valley is celebrated since the early twentieth century, and in the second half of the century it has become a national and acquire modern forms of presentation. Traditionally, the program includes a variety of musical and dance events featuring authentic folklore groups , orchestras, vocal , cheerleading and dance , mummers groups , professional ensembles, guests from abroad and more. This year the Rose Festival in Karlovo is on May 31 (Saturday) and will start with a traditional ritual Rose picking at 9.00 am in the Rose Garden outside the city. It will involve local folklore and ensemble Rose Valley, founded in 1972 With great interest is expected the presence of the beautiful Queen of Roses , which in Karlovo elected since 1975 . This years winner of the title Queen of Roses is a beautiful 16 -year old dancer Folklore Ensemble Rose Valley Desislava Bogoyska. She will greet guests with Welcome from the stage in the central square of Karlovo. The ensemble will open the concert at 10.30 hours with the dance suite Festival in Rose Valley, which presents moments of rose picking.
