Folks, I am contacting you in hopes that you can forward this on to any Denton resident that might be interested. The City Council is considering the development of a bond program that would be presented to voters for consideration in November 2014. The primary purpose of the bond program is to provide funding for various projects in the city. As such, the Council is forming a Citizen Bond Committee to assist with determining appropriate projects for consideration in the bond program. The committee is expected to be comprised of 50 members of the Denton community appointed by the Council. Citizens interested in volunteering to serve on this committee can click on this link: cityofdenton/departments-services/2014-bond-program, and can fill out a 2014 Bond Committee Registration form. The deadline for name submissions is Nov. 8, 2013. The webpage also contains a preliminary list of projects to be considered in the upcoming bond program, and gives you the ability to submit your own project idea.
