Folks, I have just read the various scam Facebook messages and chats with which a certain scammer, using my FB account, tried to defraud several of my Facebook friends by requesting for different recharge cards credits, between June 27 and the first week of July, after hacking into the account on different occasions. I regret whatever embarrassment this might have caused all those affected; I feel terribly embarrassed myself. However, I promptly posted a disclaimer in reaction to it then (on June 28/13). Subsequently, I was deprived of the use of my FB and Yahoo accounts for over two weeks when the Facebook Security Team and Yahoo management urgently shut down both accounts for protection, after I had lodged complaints to them. I do hope no one was preyed on by the scammer. Please, let me know if there was any such incident. Meanwhile, I have taken necessary precaution, like I did in the past, with the hope that there won’t be a re-occurrence. I will forward this message to all those affected. Thank you for your understanding.
