Folks, I normally refer to U.S. Authentic as U.S. Unauthentic, but I may have stumbled onto a way to make their jackets far more historically accurate. This is my latest USA acquisition, their size 46 attempt at the J.A. Dubow 27798 contract. I found that if I did one bit of major surgery, namely moving the epaulets aft about an inch and a quarter (straddling the shoulder seam like a Monarch or United Sheeplined), the jacket suddenly looks pretty darned good! The hide is superb. One of the most supple hides Ive ever owned. If youre willing to do the alteration or pay someone to do it, you can get a pretty decent repro at a pretty decent price. Anyway, take a look. Im really happy with this one!
