Folks, I post this as a call for any who wish to participate in prayer - but it may be a long call to prayer - until Sept. 29. Why? Because one of our own Wichita priests, now ArchbishopPaul Coakley, of Oklahoma, is calling for it. You may not be Catholic but even if you have Christian faith, it is being attacked and mocked by a Black mass being performed in Oklahoma City, in its own civic center. If you are wondering how this is offensive to the non-Catholic Christian, I just ask that you read the Archbishops letter and join many in prayer against this horrible offense! May I try to put this as an example or comparison. If Century II allowed the Klu Klux Klan to do a mock cross burning and all, would you be silent or not at least pray? What is happening in Oklahoma City is far worse! Please make your own judgement, ask the Lord what you can do. You may be only asked to fast and pray as many of us are! Many here in Wichita, I know, are actively offering the prayers of the Mass because of the Archbishops call. Will you?
