Folks, I want to tell you about a Marine....but to tell you about this Marine, I need to tell you about his family. Cpl Johnathan Taylor has two incredible parents, Mark and Deb. After he was killed in action on 2/22/11, his parents dedicated themselves to honoring him and honoring the Marines and Sailors he fought beside. Mark has joined his Hero and theyre looking down and taking care of 2/8 today, and now the dream that Mark and Deb had of creating an oasis of peace...of healing...of brotherhood...of laughter...is becoming a reality. Deb has taken this mission on herself and has done something truly incredible and inspiring. Her son must look at this and think Adapt and Overcome is a genetic thing, and not just a Grunt thing. Warriors come home and there are so few places where they can be among those who dont need your bio, dont need your resume, they know your history from the look in your eyes and youre home where you can go fishing, tell stories about the fights youve been in, the places youve gone, the brothers youve lost or....the 13 ft bass you just caught.....yeah...we know Marines stretch things just a bit but you are and will always remain....badass.
