Folks, If you care about saving the US Constitution my advice is to contact your State Senator and Representative and let them know you oppose an Article V Convention (Con-Con). If you need material let me know. Just found out today there is an Indiana Coalitions Director for the Convention of States project. His name is Marty Woods. Owner of Zounds Hearing in Fishers, Indiana and a graduate of Purdue University. The Convention of States project seeks volunteers to contact their State Legislators asking them to be a co-sponsor. For those who took enough interest in Indiana state government to attended the Meet Your Legislator meeting this past Saturday in Evansville they heard the subject brought up before the legislators. I have been getting several emails asking me to support this measure. I haven’t received one opposing it. At the meeting in answering the question about supporting this effort I explained why I’m apprehensive about throwing in with other states toward this process. Today I got a letter from a person who was at the meeting and was agitated about my response. As with so many controversial issues there is a silent element of our society who talks in their secure circles but are not willing to go beyond that beyond that comfort zone.
