Folks, Its been a long journey since November 26, 2013 when I announced my candidacy. I have been so blessed with such wonderful friends and supporters. We have forged many new friendships that will definitely last a lifetime. I appreciate all the hard work my family and friends have gone through to make tomorrow such a special day in my life. When I think about my campaign and the office that I am seeking, two words come to mind. Those words are proud and humbled. First, I am proud of the judges and the traditions they have established that have served this district in the past. We have been so blessed with hardworking, caring, ethical and wise judges and chancellors. I am humbled to possibly being able to serve in the same way. I am so proud to have served the last six years as the District Attorney General for the 13th Judicial District and I have been humbled at hard work and dedication that my staff has displayed to make the office successful. I am proud to have served with people who work everyday to save lives, protect children and make a difference in the lives of everyone in our community. To those officers, investigators, DCS, CASA volunteers, CAC employees, Genesis House staff and personal, let me just say thank you and God bless you for what you do. I am proud of the clean race and campaign that we have run and I am humbled by the electoral process that one must go through to seek public office. I am looking forward to serving as your next Circuit Court Judge. I am also proud to be from the Upper Cumberland and from Tennessee. To those that have already voted for me, let me say Thank You. To those that will be voting tomorrow for me, let me again say thank you. To all of you, I promise that I will work tirelessly, that I will know the law when I take the bench, that I will rule fairly and without prejudice or bias and that I will treat all participants, court personnel and lawyers with courtesy and professionalism. I hope that I have earned your vote, your confidence and your friendship.
