Folks: Many people have been asking me about the plans for election day this Tuesday, November 4th. Well, ask and ye shall receive: heres the plan. As you probably know, my running mate Henry Haller and I will not be appearing on the ballot this year due in part to the onerous ballot access laws in Pennsylvania. The ins and outs of the reasons behind that omission can be found on a YouTube video of a press conference I held on the subject a little while back, https://youtube/watch?v=sjIYCbQfspc. But that only explains the past. As for the future, let me ask that on Tuesday you please go to the polls and write in Henry and me for governor and lieutenant governor. As to the exact mechanism for how you do that, I cannot say because it varies from county to county. Some counties have those lever-based machines where you actually write in the names in a little window behind a sliding door. Other counties have punch cards with room to write in the names somewhere on the card. My county has electronic voting machines where you do a type-in vote. The only advice I can give you is to be ready for anything, and be sure to bring a pen. One important item is that almost every voting machine does not separate the governor and lieutenant governor write-ins. An issue arose in 2010 where there was insufficient space to write or type in the complete names. Whether or not you come across that situation, here are suggestions for how to write in our names, from best to least best examples: Ken Krawchuk of Abington, Henry Haller of Pittsburgh Ken Krawchuk, Henry Haller Ken Krawchuk, H. Haller K. Krawchuk, H. Haller K Krawchuk, H Haller K Krawchuk, Haller Ken Krawchuk K. Krawchuk Krawchuk FYI, in my home county of Montgomery, our electronic type-ins are limited to 20 characters, That means Im forced to use the fifth option above. Many people have offered to help at the polls, and Henry and I certainly do appreciate that. If youre so inclined, there are three different downloadable flyers available on the campaign website at KenK.org/downloads. Print out the one you like best, or if youre the creative type, feel free to create your own using the downloadable flyers as examples. When you hand them out, just say, Please write in Ken Krawchuk, Libertarian for governor. Theres usually no more time than that to say anything more. IMPORTANT NOTE! I dont want to tip my hand here, but its critically important for you to write in Henry and me Tuesday, because we have a very significant follow-up plan, post election. Details of that Plan B will be sent out later this year. Be sure to watch for it! To sum up, please write in Ken Krawchuk and Henry Haller for governor and lieutenant governor this Tuesday, November 4th. Details of our election night party are forthcoming. Any questions, please let me know. Thanks!!! - Ken -------------------------------------------- Ken Krawchuk Libertarian for Pennsylvania Governor Championing the Separation of Society and State
